PART OF LSTC’S INAUGURAL SEASON
SELECTED BY DIXON PLACE THEATER
When Rachel, the traditionalist president of her Conservative synagogue, finds out that the decision for choosing a new rabbi has been done behind closed doors to reform the synagogue, she has to fight for the preservation of her shul and her values before the final decision is made on the most important and holy days of the year — the High Holidays.
Set during the High Holidays season of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, this play highlights the difficulty of being a Conservative Jew in an America that is reckoning with an ever-shifting identity in order to survive.
